If you want a real adventure, why not try a Caving trip. The Yorkshire Dales has some of the best caves in the UK and there is a huge variety to choose from. It is an opportunity to visit hidden worlds that not many people get to see.
It is not all about crawling and getting wet. We can take you to caves where you just walk in and there isn’t even any kneeling! You could visit some huge underground caverns and walk down big roomy passages with fantastic geological features.
We can run caving trips in Swaledale, in the Northern Dales or down in the Southern Dales not far from Ingleton.

If you love being outside and near water then Raft Building could be the next thing for you. It is a great adventure activity for families, friends or colleagues.
We provide all the kit and show you a few top tips to construct a raft that will keep you afloat. Working together we will get this thing built in a jiffy and get you all on the water!
Now, the second part of the adventure starts, learn how to move your raft around, practice some skills, try a game and maybe even fall in! No problem, you will be wearing a buoyancy aid and if your friends cannot get back on the raft we will be close at hand to help.

Open canoeing is one of the quickest and best ways of getting out there on the water. It is a brilliant way of seeing wildlife, exploring a new place and having a great time with your companions.
We have a fleet of modern, purpose made canoes that have 2 or 3 seats, so they are great for friends and families to get together. Our boats are stable, roomy and easy to paddle. If anyone in your party wants that extra bit of security, no problem, we can connect 2 boats together to form a very stable raft.
It doesn’t matter if you have never been in a boat before or if you are a seasoned enthusiast, we will encourage you out on the water and help you develop your skills along the way.

If you want to paddle your own little boat then kayaking could be for you. Kayaking comes from the Inuit Eskimo people and it was essential for hunting and fishing.
Our modern boats are lightweight, plastic and highly manoeuvrable but still have many of the traditional similarities. We have a wide variety of sizes to suit children and adults. You will have a double ended paddle and you will be surprised by how quickly you can pick up speed.
If you are new to kayaking we recommend starting in the shallows of some still water, we have an ideal lake location for you. Once you feel more confident you have the choice of a short journey, some games and you might even want to get really wet!

We have a purpose made outdoor climbing wall and expert coaching that will get you started. Our wall is 10m high and it located in a sheltered sunny location. There are some great warm up routes with lots of big holds and once you are ready you can set your own personal challenge. You might want to go a bit higher, try something a bit steeper or just use one set of coloured holds. The choice is yours and we will provide the safety and support for you to achieve you goal.

You might want to take on one of the superb lower hills and enjoy great views over the famous lakes. If you have set your sights on a higher peak, one of the 3,000ft mountains such as perhaps Scafell Pike, Hevellyn or Skiddaw or a famous ridge walk such as the Fairfield or Kentmere Horseshoe. If you want an exciting challenge then gorge scrambling is an amazing experience for groups of friends, colleagues and teenage family groups.
There are lots of fun challenges along the way. Watch your friends try to stay dry as they scramble around the pools. Work together to get up some of the rock steps. You might have to wade or swim through the deep sections and there is always the plunge pool for that refreshing dunk!
Alongside the adrenalin, you will also see how the water has created some amazing features and how beautiful plants have colonised the gorge to leave us with a special place to respect and protect for future generations.

This is a great activity for families and friends who want to experience the great outdoors and try some creative activities.
Building shelters and cooking outdoors is something we humans have been doing for thousands of years! It is fun to re-connect with the natural world and learn the skills of people who lived in harmony with nature before the modern age.
We will help you choose a location for your shelter and forage for materials to make a natural shelter. When you are ready we can try out some traditional fire lighting and then prepare something to eat and drink around the fire.

We like you to work in pairs so you can support and encourage each other through the different challenges. So stick on your helmet, look your partner in the eye and then decide who is going first. There are challenges to get over, go under, balance along and swing from.
We will introduce to our wild woozy, tarzan swing cargo net and tunnels and you will be surprised by just what you can achieve.
